Our Light & Airy SPF is designed to be lightweight and joyful while ensuring sun protection. This formula features Z-COTE® Sheer, a naturally derived liquid dispersion of Zinc Oxide. Z-COTE® Sheer delivers UV protection suitable for daily routines without leaving an undesirable white cast. Addition of our natural O/W emulsifier, Emulgade® Verde 10MS provides strong emulsifying and great sensory properties. Lastly, the formula is rounded out with the addition of Verdessence™ Alginate that leaves skin feeling smooth and supple. This multi-talented natural polymer is derived from algae. It’s versatile enough to work as a rheology modifier and sensory enhancer.

Manufacturing Process
1. Combine phase A with prop mixing and begin heating to 75 C
2. Combine phase B with prop mixing and begin heating to 80 C
3. Add phase C to B at 60 C. Continue prop mixing until uniform.
4. At temp, add phase B/C to A- and homogenize at 5000rpm. Try to incorporate air. Batch will thicken.
5. Transfer to prop mix and begin cooling. Incorporate air as cooling.
6. Below 45 C, add phase D. Mix until uniform
7. Adjust pH to 7.2 using 25% citric acid solution.
8. Drop below 35 C
9. 24 hours later, re-adjust pH down to 7.2 with citric acid solution
