Skin microbiota diversity changes with age: certain beneficial lactic acid bacteria are reduced; some even disappear from mature skin. BASF researchers now found out that Lactobacillus crispatus is decreasing on certain skin areas, and cannot even be detected in the wrinkle hollow of older persons anymore. Unlike other biotics existing on the cosmetic market, Postbiolift is the first to use this “youth bacterium” that is found naturally on the skin. Postbiolift contains the fermentation supernatant of Lactobacillus crispatus, containing its secreted metabolites and contributing to more elastic skin, to a smoother appearance of wrinkles around the eyes, and to an even complexion.
Postbiolift is perfectly complemented by Probiolift, as it derives from the same biofermentation process. Probiolift contains dormant cells of living Lactobacillus crispatus.
